New England Stamper: Gingersnap Creations Paint Challenge

August 11, 2010

Gingersnap Creations Paint Challenge

This month's Spicy Supply Challenge on Gingersnaps is Paint and here's the collage I created for it.

The base is 3/4" plywood and measures 8" x 10". I primed the piece and added two coats of Gesso, then layered on paint, paint glazes and vintage papers. The paint colors I used were Titan Buff, Yellow Oxide, Burnt Umber and Raw Sienna.

In this close up, you can see some of the objects that I included - stamped polymer clay tiles that I created, an old key, domino, pen nibs and rusty nails all layered onto an old book page.

Thanks for visiting!

Ali

Ali, I love this piece, especially your composition and use of white space. It is arty but in an elegant, timeless sort of manner. Stunning. Lynne M x
