Fall Snow

What's the scoop? It's not even Halloween and we've had our first snow! You've got to love New England weather. Here are a few pictures taken on my walk in the forest this morning:

Morning Walk - Herons

I occasionally share pictures I take on my morning walks and I couldn't resist blogging these! I visited a new place last week - an Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary, which is just a five minute drive from my house.

I was over the moon when I across a pond/swamp with 5 nesting Herons. I've only ever seen these birds flying or wading, but never sitting in their nests. I'm not sure if they're Blue Herons or not, but they are really impressive birds. This is the best picture I could get.

Here's one of the many beautiful streams leading down to the pond.

Oh, and we mustn't forget the beavers.

Each day I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for letting me share it with you!

Morning Walk

Here are a couple of pictures I took on my walk Tuesday morning.  I walk the same forest trails every day, but each morning brings something new to discover.

 

 

Morning Walk

When I started this new blog, I promised myself to be more relaxed about what and when I post; to place less pressure on myself and keep it fun!  I know a lot of bloggers, myself included, sometimes find blogging a chore and feel a lot guilt when they take blog breaks.  I guess what I'm referring to is the Blogging Without Obligation movement.

In that vein, I plan to share a photograph or two when the mood strikes.  Here's one I took on my morning walk today.
