Rogue Bits and Pieces

Did you see the new sentiment set from Rogue Redhead? It's called Bits & Pieces and has some fantastic mix and match sentiments for just about every occasion. It's definitely going to be a go-to set for me!Here are a few cards I made with it. The first uses a TJ technique called Texture Duet (Oct/Nov 2010), where you emboss your c/stock using two different embossing folders.

I made a couple of mistakes with the Texture Duet technique, so punched out the rejects to create this anniversary card for my parents' wedding anniversary next month.

In addition to sentiments, the plate also has some solid shapes, including a textured inchie!!! You know I love my inchies. I stamped textured inchie stamp three times and stamped the fern from Floriculture on top, then punched them out with a 1" square stamp - super quick and simple!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend,

Ali

More Floriculture Fun

I've been having some more fun with Rogue Redhead's new Floriculture plate. I created the background using acrylic paint resist technique. I believe Tim H refers to it as Dabber Resist, but I didn't use the Ranger paints. I sponged some Golden Titan Buff paint onto the stamps, covered a piece of card stock with stamped images and sponged with inks once the paint had dried.

Just remember with this technique to clean off your stamps immediately. I used several baby wipes and a spritz of plain water. Here's how the finished card turned out:
