New England Stamper: One Layer Christmas Card

February 19, 2011

One Layer Christmas Card

I played Susan's One Layer Wednesday challenge this week. The challenge was to make a one-layer Christmas card using only green and red. Well, I strayed a little by including a hint of brown and blue, but hopefully she'll forgive me!

I stamped the image directly onto the watercolor card base with black Archival Ink by Ranger and colored with reinkers and a water brush. The image is wood mounted stamp from Stampington.

Have an ink-filled weekend!

What a nice looking card.....just think of the head start we´d all have if we even made just one Xmas card a week....mmmm, not a bad idea is it?

Ali, thanks so much for playing the OLW!!!!! Your card is fabulous...love how that stamp has so much detail yet still feels totally clean and simple. And the deckle edge card is the perfect finishing touch!

it's gorgeous! I haven't quite got round to this theme yet. I just can't face christmas yet (although having said that I have already started my christmas knitting, lol)
