Tea Dyed Tag Collage

I created a bunch of mixed media tags this week and decided to mount them onto a canvas to make a quick wall hanging.

The tags all started out plain white from the office supply store before I dyed them in strong tea. It was messy but fun!

I used lots of different thing to decorate the nine tags. I'll tell you what they are under each picture:

Top row, left to right
Tag 1: stamped text plus vintage saver stamps
Tag 2: stamping (Oxford Impressions) plus little bundle of sticks
Tag 3: stamping (Artistic Outpost) plus a dried flower and pearl

Middle Row, left to right
Tag 1: stamping, fabric flower and vintage button
Tag 2: pre-printed transparency on stamped text
Tag 3: vintage sheet music, lace and button

Bottom Row, left to right
Tag 1: stamping (Artistic Outpost), patterned paper and dried flower plus pearl
Tag 2: stamping (Crafty Individuals), vintage lace and pearls
Tag 3: stamping, fabric flowers, vintage button and a hat pin

Here are a few close up pictures:

I attached a piece of vintage French dictionary page to painted a canvas board and mounted the tags on top. It was a fun project - now I just need to find it a home in my house!

Hope you like it :)
