Happy Birthday Rogue Redhead

Rogue Redhead Designs, run by good friend Shar, turned one year old this week. Happy Birthday Rogue! To celebrate, she has launched a brand new website, released two new stamp plate and is offering some awesome deals.

I was lucky enough to play with the new release Milliner Misses and made this 8" x 8" inchie hanging:

Here's the info on the plate:

"This mini plate packs a lot of style into just a few images. Capture distinctive fashion and panache of the twenties with these great elegant ladies and their fabulous hats. Perfect for gal pal cards and fashionable greetings of all kinds." It retails for $7.50, but is on sale for $6 until the end of the year.

I stamped images from the Milliner Misses and Relish Reading plates onto the edges of old book pages, inked the edges and mounted them onto pre-cut matboard inchies. I also cut out inchies from old dress patterns and embellished some of the squares with a hat pin, buttons, fabric and lace.

All sixteen inchies were mounted onto a piece of watercolor paper with a salted background. Tutorial here. I stitched it to a piece of dark brown card stock and hung it with some beautiful seam binding from Blue Bird Lane.

Check out the other awesome artwork by the DT on the Rogue blog and wish them a Happy Birthday!
