New England Stamper: Zig-Zag Accordian Cards

September 24, 2010

Zig-Zag Accordian Cards

Here are a couple of cards that I created a while ago for the current TJ newsletter (Aug/Sept 10). It's called Zig-Zag Accordian and is the online bonus technique. It's a fun card that stands up by itself and can be adapted to lots of different occasions. I bet it would be fun with birthday candles popping out for a kid's birthday or snowflakes for the Holidays.

The first uses designer paper from Pink Paislee paired with a sentiment from Flourishes. The butterflies were created with an SU die and my Big Shot, and have dew drop accents.

The second card features an Artistic Outpost image stamped onto a Pulled Glimmer background (TJ technique June/July 10). I kept the background to this one simple by just using embossed c/stock and I didn't include the wired pieces at the front.

If you don't already subscribe to the newsletter, I highly recommend it. It's filled with fantastic ideas and inspiration!

Well Ali, I came here to take a peek at the "Neutrals plus one" and these caught my eyes! Both are so different, but absolutely stunning! What a wonderful job with this technique! Love them both!

The butterflies look as though they are floating. Great cards Ali. Lynne M x

Both are very pretty! Love how you have the butterflies flying off the folds on the first one and love white-on-white base of the second with its great soft pop of color!
